My Mission

My mission at Fellowship Books is to offer a diverse range of inspirational and theological literature that delves into the depths of faith and reason. I am committed to nurturing a space where seekers of God's Truth can find certainty in Biblical scriptures.

I became born again with God's Holy Spirit in 1971, while working on a shrimp boat in the Gulf of Mexico. When I finally understood how much God loved me, I was overjoyed! I had not only achieved the certainty that God existed, but also that He cared about everything I did. At that time I tried to communicate how I knew that. However, I was only able to verbalize my revelation from God to a few people. I worked further at verbalizing the knowledge of God’s existence while I was in college, earning my degree in Philosophy and attending various college Christian groups.

In these last 10 years while ministering as a missionary to the Philippines, I started started working again on verbalizing God’s existence. The obvious place to start was: How do we "know" anything exists? We do not really “know” that anything exists! (global skepticism). However, Ayn Rand wrote that we could "achieve certainties" through our experiences and through reason. She also defined reason as: the adding of facts to our mind’s picture of what exists. Thus, while we can never "know" anything, we can "achieve certainties" through our experiences, even the "certainty unto death," that many martyrs achieved.

My greatest breakthrough in verbalizing God's existence was in being able to write about "achieving certainties." This was a towering advantage over academics who are still in the Dark Ages of "knowing" and "not knowing," and, moreover, they do not even have a working definition of reason! YIKES! They are completely unfamiliar with "achieving certainties" because they loathe Ayn Rand and reject all her contributions to philosophy.

Rand wrote many scathing essays about academic philosophers. She called their writings irrelevant and inaccessible gibberish. She also pointed out that academic philosophers have very cleverly disguised their hatred for reason. I am forced to agree with her because academics despise everything I write merely because it does not fit into their bogus conversations! They tell me they will not "peer review" what I write because they do not think it will make it "through their gauntlet." YIKES AGAIN!

Eric Demaree's Bio

I was born into a Methodist family. I joined them every Sunday in going to a small country church in Illinois until I left for college in 1968 at age 18. There I enjoyed studying the Bible with other college-age Christians. Studying the Bible changed my understanding of Christianity. Unlike everyone I knew in my church, I became a seeker, instead of a dweller. I wanted to find God and more of His joy.

When I did find God and His joy in 1971, no one in my "dead church" wanted me to be different. There was no love there, so I left. Nonetheless, I was so excited about my independent life in Christ, I traveled regularly to meet other Christians. I fellowshipped with every Christian group that I came across, especially in Illinois, Florida, Texas and Arizona. The early 70's was an extremely blessed time for me.

Since that time, I graduated (1973) from Western Illinois University with a degree in Philosophy. My training in "thinking things over" opened the door for me to  critically examine religious rationalizations.

Since then, I have been overjoyed to make over twenty-five missionary trips to the Philippines. I was completely free of to follow the voice of Jesus (John 10:27) while ministering there, because I refused all donations. It was a great blessing for me to teach and study the Bible more deeply as I prepared my sermons. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ for that!

While I have been waiting for God to do His Work, He has given me the ability to play Senior Softball throughout Arizona, Nevada and California, which has been an immensely enjoyable way to kill time. God is the One who has put me together, as well as this website. I thank Him constantly for that! Praise God for His Plan!

Jesus is Mercy and Mercy is Jesus!

But go and learn what this means, I will have mercy and not sacrifice.  –Matthew 9:13

If you had known what this means: I will have mercy and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the innocent. - Matthew 12:7

The most important directive of the Biblical conscience is mercy. Our eternal destination depends completely on our showing mercy to those in need. What Jesus promises to do in the following parable is NOT superseded by anything else. This is something Jesus promises us and everyone that He positively will do on Judgment Day!

THE SHEEP AND THE GOATS

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall He sit upon the throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd his sheep from the goats: and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry, and you gave me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: naked and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison and you came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry, and fed you? Or thirsty and gave you drink? When did we see you a stranger, and took you in? Or naked, and clothed you? Or when did we see you sick, or in prison, and came unto you? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, in as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these, my brethren, you have done it to me.

Then shall he say also to them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was hungry and you gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and you took me not in: I was naked and you clothed me not, and in prison and you visited me not.

Then shall they also answer him saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison and did not minister unto you? Then shall He answer them saying, Verily I say unto you, in as much as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me! And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. -Matthew 25: 31-46
